Announcement of parish families

After a year of consultation and discernment, Archbishop Etienne has made his decisions on the final configurations of the parish families across the archdiocese. Below is his letter to the archdiocese and the full list of parish families. Please read and share this news – let us together pray for our parish family (Saint Mark & Saint Matthew) and all the parish families of the archdiocese.

Partners in the Gospel parish session summary (December 9, 2023)

Thank you again to all who participated in our parish input session on the (new!) Parish Family 12 – the proposed parish family of which Saint Mark parish is a part. We had 5tables, with about 50 parishioners participating. Below is a collation of the summary documents from each table.

Full disclosure: due to Father Maurer taking ill shortly after the sessions, this feedback was not submitted by the December 15th deadline – though it was sent to the archdiocese after the new year for consideration after the fact.

Let us together pray for the Partners in the Gospel process, for all of us here in the archdiocese, and for the archbishop.

Thank you again to all who participated in our parish input session on Parish Family 13 – the proposed parish family of which Saint Mark parish is a part. We had 13 tables, with about 106 parishioners participating.

Below is a collation of the summary documents from each table – this has also been submitted to the archdiocese for prayerful reading & discernment by the archbishop & those who are advising him.

If you would like to submit further feedback (or feedback for the first time), please use the button below. Please note that this online input form is available for a limited time (this is the last week for input).

Let us together pray for the Partners in the Gospel process, for all of us here in the archdiocese, and for the archbishop.

Partners in the Gospel informational update (September 23, 2023)

Below are links to documents that you may find helpful in preparation for this week’s formal feedback session (Thursday, September 23, 2023 at 6:30 pm).

We hope you’ll join us as we share our input with the archdiocese, most especially answering the questions What does or doesn’t work with the proposed parish family configuration? and What alternatives might the archdiocese consider (and why)? See the participant handout for more information.

The combined snapshots of the parishes in the proposed parish family (family 13) are also available. These contain information from the annual reports from the parish and school of Saint Catherine, Saint Matthew, and Saint Mark. Earlier this morning, the archdiocese released the complete draft of the proposed families across the archdiocese, which also helps give us a clearer understanding of other parish families in relation to our own.

Finally, if you weren’t able to make it to today’s informal townhall Q&A, you may appreciate this summary of the questions from parishioners and answers from Father Maurer.

Let us continue to pray for each other and for the archdiocese, as we place our trust in the Lord.
