Baptism

Incorporated into Christ by Baptism, the person baptized is configured to Christ. Baptism seals the Christian with the indelible spiritual mark (character) of his belonging to Christ. No sin can erase this mark, even if sin prevents Baptism from bearing the fruits of salvation. Given once for all, Baptism cannot be repeated. CCC #1272

Please view our Baptism policy by clicking here for complete information on Baptisms at St. Mark Parish.

Godparents must be baptized & confirmed, at least 16 years old, have already received the most holy sacrament of the Eucharist, a Catholic who leads a life of faith in keeping with the function to be taken on, and not bound by any canonical penalty. The father and mother of the one to be baptized may not be that person’s godparent. All godparents must successfully complete a godparent interview with Father Maurer (you can view the form to be used here) or their parish priest.

For more information or general questions, please contact the parish office.
