Welcome to St. Mark Parish!
“The parish is where the Church lives. Parishes are communities of faith, of action, and of hope. They are where the Gospel is proclaimed and celebrated, where believers are formed and sent to renew the earth. Parishes are the home of the Christian community; they are the heart of our Church. Parishes are the place where God’s people meet Jesus in word and sacrament and come in touch with the source of the Church’s life.” -Communities of Salt and Light
We would like to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all who visit our parish. We are a family of faith that offers many ways to worship, celebrate, grow, and volunteer. Our parish frequently provides opportunities and resources that will deepen and cultivate your Catholic faith and help you to answer Christ’s call to be the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world”. Please feel free to explore our website which will showcase some of the ways we reach out to our community and ways you can get involved. Welcome home!
Mission Statement for our parish:
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.’” – Matthew 28:19-20
Vision Statement for our parish:
“They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers. Awe came upon everyone and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles…they ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.” – Acts 2:42
St. Mark Catholic Church was established in 1954. The following pictures are from the original Church location before the new Church that we use today was built. This original building is now used as the Parish School’s Gym.
